I don't doubt it.

I got Hanna's version of what happened, which is- very dismissive. What's yours?

[Thank you Hanna. She sighed, and closed her eyes briefly.]

I didn't see what happened at the start. But it sounds like Collins tried to get Hanna with a piano wire around his throat and didn't expect him to fight back.

I still have it. I'll explain that later.

[She took in a breath.]

Hanna managed to run away. I saw the glasses- Collins had clearly punched Hanna. I'm not sure why. And I saw the wire.

Collins was ready to finish the job.

But I chose to put a physical barrier spell on Hanna and use myself to shock Collins into stopping his attack.

It was...really stupid and risky. What I said, and did. It upset Hanna.

[From the way Taylor's jaw clenches, it's plain Hanna did not mention the wire.]

He said he strangled him. That's bad enough.

What was he upset about, did he say?

Oh, he did. The wire dug in. I healed it. And the bruises.

[Aerith pressed her lips together. She didn't know how Taylor would react.]

I stepped in front of Hanna. And I told Collins to kill me first.

[Taylor sits a moment, looking at her.]

Yeah, that'd upset anyone.

Glad it went well, but- yeah.

I didn't do it because I planned to die. I needed to shock Collins to make him stop. Plus, I have my staff. I could have set him asleep but- it would have been bad in the long run.

[She sighed, and pressed her face against her hands briefly.]

He needed to make the choice.

[Taylor wrinkles her nose, and lets out a big sigh.]

... Yeah, probably.

But I'll be arming Hanna a bit in case he tries again.

Absolutely. He had his magic, but I think it wouldn't be a bad idea to give him...I'm not sure.

I don't know how he'd feel about a gun or a knife. But something small might be a good idea.

Excuse me, the kettle is boiling.

I gave him a phaser, when Tendi offered. If only he'd use it.

He had a-I don't even know what a phaser is, but I'm annoyed.

[It sounded like something he could have used! Easily! To save himself. Aerith shook her head, getting up to get the kettle- and brought over the teapot, along with the cups, bit by bit. It was quick, but the action calmed her.]

I suppose...if I'm being fair, he did have his staff. Atticus, I think he calls it?

Good, at least he's carrying that with him. He's pretty effective with it.

Did you speak to Collins after?

I did. And I did have backup, after arguing with Hanna about it.

I made sure John and Trevor were on standby. Hanna and I...can both have the same dangerous mindset.

[Taylor nods, with one side of her mouth quirking up.]

Yeah, me too. Good choices.

Do you want to talk to Collins' warden, or shall I?

I'm lucky to know them both.

I'm good with either. You can even call his warden right now, if you want me to listen.
