When it falls and the connection drops, Sym sends off a little seed into
the vat which changes him back and he can then set the tree inside, too. He
needs to put it in the greenhouse later.
He checks on Aerith, though, making sure she stays asleep, like she needs.

She looked younger and more relaxed then she did awake.

He doesn't disrupt her at all, but does bring a blanket he makes very quickly of flowers and leaves and sets it on her.
Then he picks up his book, sits at her feet, and goes back to reading.
