It's all right. It's just, ah, personal reasons.

[So many personal reasons!]

I started the conversation, after all....

I wouldn't actually recommend knives for self-defense. They can be good for a surprise attack, but many people don't find them as intimidating as they should, and it's not easy to disable someone with a knife without hurting them quite badly.

Some kind of stun gun would be a better choice, I think. For that purpose.

The Admiral can create stun guns that have an incredibly powerful effect. One that might be much more effective than violence could be against our hardier passengers.

... Just make sure no one else can get hold of it. That kind of weapon is dangerous, too, even if it doesn't cause any injuries.

Probably, if it's something that anyone could use by picking it up. I thought there was more to it than that?

That they're crystallized energy cores of some sort, pre-programmed with spells that they can be used to cast.

But that's about all.

There's no... activation word? Special technique?

Hm.

May I ask what it can do?

I see. I'm not sure it's necessarily more dangerous than a powerful single-element materia, in terms of someone else getting their hands on it... but it could certainly cause problems either way.

I do think it's a good idea to protect them.

Mm.

I do think that there are enough weapons on board that one more isn't a very big problem, personally. But thank you for letting me know about it.

I wouldn't know. That sounds like a Western saying, probably?

[He sounds perfectly cheerful about it.]

I worry about Wardens who don't have any way to take care of themselves. There aren't many of those, though.

Maybe? I don't know him.

I suppose it would be a good idea to have a sort of... assistance network. In case of danger.
