As long as the boy had proper training on how to use them, Collins wouldn't see the problem. He would be slightly miffed if the lad didn't though. If asked, Collins would help her however she wanted with, well, any issue probably, including that whatever the case may be.
Given that staff, even Collins could use the magic attached to it these days. Probably best he not figure out which materia she had on hand. He followed her towards the desired plants as they talked.
"Just tha flowers. They're tha best part fer tea." He said and waited for her response.
She had no idea if he did. But she planned to get him taught, and to have him use a knife to properly defend himself. If nothing else, Ciel would be able to slash or shoot someone before fleeing or getting help. She'd make sure of it.
She twisted her staff casually to be held against the back of her arm before leading him to the chamomile bushes.
"You know how to make herbal tea, huh." She looked at him for a few moments. She seemed a little exasperated, a little amused. "That sounds much more simple than making soap."
She seemed to settle on that. She knew what he was doing now, and didn't want to pick a fight with him over it. Aerith really didn't have the energy, or inclination, for a petty fight.
"You need...the flowers for the first two right? We have a lot of both, thankfully."
"Aye, like I said. Just as me mother used ta make it. Though, I suppose, I don't actually have a kitchen..."
Hint hint.
"I imagine it is, but I've never made soap before."
He said cheerfully enough. He probably knew that she knew from that one line. But it wasn't his fault she admitted to not knowing how to make proper tea!
He didn't see the harm in teaching her a new trick. It might even make for a nice experience together.
Whether it came in handy for certain ailments, well, that was to be seen and not up to him. He hadn't a care in the world!
"Good thing I have a kitchen to use in the meantime." She sounded unperturbed, still gently amused.
Collins was and wasn't subtle sometimes when it came to giving hints. But she didn't mind, mostly she was amused. It was a nice change from him being upset with her before.
She knew they needed a talk- a real one- but she wasn't sharp enough for crossing wits and patience just yet. Not when he was capable of hurting her in his rage.
"I'll take you to the chamomile first, then go back to the shed with the scissors and a couple of baskets we can fill." She told him. "So you can get a good look at what you think will work."
"Is that an offer? Yer very kind, Miss Aerith." Not said as an insult or a homage to old times, but as a cheerfully polite game that was fun. "I'd be grateful fer tha use of it, if you don't mind."
He nodded and followed her.
"Sounds like a good plan. It should be easy. I'll show you."
"I try." She offered him a small smile and a nod of her head. "But- yeah. Offering, Mr Collins." It was silly, and they were being all sorts of polite. It was just a game, a playful one for both of them.
"We can enjoy some black tea while we're at it. Or coffee." She gave him an amused look at that. Of course he wouldn't want her to drink coffee. "While we're working on your tea that is. But- this way!"
She smiled, and bounced ahead a step or two towards the chamomile bushes. It was a small tease. Nothing big.
