Maggie flips the book open, offering the 2 copies she made of the relevant
page to Aerith; her office setup doesn't serve much use here on the Barge,
but sometimes it comes in handy.
And she'll lean closer to study the bush herself, scrunching her nose in
distaste at the scent. She did volunteer for this. But that
doesn't mean she'll enjoy it. "I don't think so. Jedao says it's
the Damascus rose specifically, other varieties won't work, and this looks
different. I'd feel better if we flip through the book and find a positive
ID rather than just a negative one, though."
She took the copies, glancing it over and trying to browse over any sort of description so they could be absolutely sure. She doesn't want there to be any sort of misunderstandings. She'd hate to kill the roses over a mistake.
But she understood the need for safety too.
"A Damascus rose...just looking at the picture, it's not going to be difficult to find. If we find something about cultivating it- like if it needs more water, or something- that might help narrow it down. But the bloom is...pretty unique. It's almost an explosion of petals."
Beautiful really. And used for such a terrible thing.
