[She comes forward to take his hand to shake. The chamomile pot is by her feet, and the bouquet is held in the crook of her arm, nestled gently to keep it from being disturbed.]

Again, congratulations on your partner's graduation.

[Malcolm picks up the pot and shifts it to one arm so he can reach out for the bouquet.]
